Indigenous values inform all of my work. My interest at ������Ƶ will be to learn from this land and its current and ancestral indigenous peoples (which include the Haudenosaunee). My research has two strands: one is work on patriarchal Christianities, sexuality, and gender. I ask how  the moral arguments of patriarchal Christianities are infused into the American public sphere to influence ethics and laws on topics of urgent importance, especially marriage equality and access to reproductive health care. The second strand of my research investigates how religions, primarily Christianities and Native American religions, promote liberation or oppression.
