Awards

Shirley received a Fulbright-Nehru Research Grant for 2013-14. During the spring semester, she traveled throughout India conducting interviews with Indian women involved in the world of theatre. These interviews and her continued research culminated in her latest monograph, Disparate Voices of Indian Women Playwrights: Creating a Profession (2019).
